MG TA - Year 1946

The T-Type was a passenger car produced by Morris Garages from 1936 to 1955 in the TA, TB, TC, TD and TF Midget models, sports cars with separate chassis, front engine, four-speed gearbox with rear-wheel drive.
The TA Midget replaced the PB model with substantial modifications, such as the Wolseley overhead valve powertrain with modified camshaft and ducts and a twin-barrel carburetor. In addition, the four-speed manual gearbox now had the two highest synchronized gears and braking was ensured by the 4 x 230mm drums. In 1938 the TA in the cabriolet version was introduced, two doors and frame in ash wood with sofa seats and, behind them, a space was created for the transport of the load.
Produced in only 252 units, it had more luxurious characteristics than those of the roadster as the roof had three different positions: fully open, fully closed and open only above the seats. The latter were single, and there was a whole set of mats.
The vehicles were supplied with a minimal amount of bodywork mounted on the chassis for the Newport Pagnell body builder to complete the car.
The model, in the standard version, reached a top speed of 130 km / h and had an acceleration from 0 to 97 km / h of 23.1 seconds.

The car belonged to a well-known Danish collector who participated with this MG TA in various international events.
In excellent mechanical condition, it is ready to participate in competitions or historical re-enactments, with the mandatory equipment such as rollbar, extinguishing system, OMP battery switch, front and rear tow hook.
Aesthetically, the midnight blue paint is in good condition, the front grille is original.
Passenger compartment flooring covered in sheet metal and internally there are no door panels depending on the weight.
Dashboard instrumentation (partly preserved) with Jaeger tachometer, fully functional, with Moto-Lita three-spoke metal steering wheel.
At the rear of the car there is a petrol tank with two metal fillers with a lever stop.
The single nut spoked wheels and tires are in very good condition.
This MG TA is the perfect car for collectors who want to try their hand at competitions reserved for vintage cars.
Today it is possible to view the car online, by booking a call with one of our commercial operators, via Skype, Zoom, Whatsapp and Google Meet platforms.
