After World War II, Ford was the first to come back with a car after war production. The four-door they came up with was an upgrade of the 1941 model. Later came the coupe and the convertible. These cars were modified again in 1946 and 1947. In the second half of 1948, a new model was introduced that was built in 1949.

The 1947 and 1948 models of the Ford Super DeLuxe differed little in appearance from the 1946 model. For example, the red colored vertical grooves from the wing above the three horizontal strips in the grille disappeared. The parking lights were now round in shape and placed under the headlamps. The car got new hubcaps and the two horizontal strips above the license plate on the trunk lid disappeared. This example has a Motor-Lift Top, which means that the convertible top could be opened and closed with a simple push of a button. This Ford was built in 1948 as one of the last of the series 1945 - 1948. Ford offered this car for the base price of $1,635.00. A total of 12,033 copies of this type were produced.

This model is delivered in a beautiful 'Maize Yellow'. Together with the light brown leather interior, it is really a look back in time. The L-head V-8 engine runs very nicely. It has 3 gears and is manual transmission via the steering wheel. The 5 seater offers plenty of space and fun for everyone. The interior is already a comfort, especially for its age. The chrome work is still in a very neat condition. The bottom is pretty hard. The paint, interior and rims are all in beautiful condition and together they form a beautiful image.

There is an Operators Manual available from February 28, 1948. The car is a real classic. For a car over 70 years old, it is really nice quality. So a unique opportunity!
