The success number from Italy is without a doubt the Fiat 500. As little weight as possible, sober equipment so as not to get in the way of the previously released more luxurious 600 and easy to maintain, even by the owners themselves. A car for the Italian people, cheap and able to traverse the narrowest streets in the cities. But it does have a rear seat.
More than 3.5 million copies of the '500' have been sold.

The L behind the 500 stands for 'Lusso'. This is the name for the more luxurious version. The Lusso came out in September 1968 with a higher equipment package than the standard 500 F. It had tubular chrome bumper overriders at the front and rear and rectangular taillights. The interior included a revised dashboard layout with a black steering wheel and ribbed vinyl seats and door panels. Other changes included reclining seats and carpeting, and for the first time, the name badge on the rear was spelled FIAT in capital letters.

Beautiful specimens, such as this car, fully functional and without rust, are rare these days. The paintwork and bodywork are in neat condition. The fits of the sills, fenders, doors, hood, trunk lid and grille are neat. The dark blue color of the Fiat 500 looks great on him. Together with the red interior and the chrome details, it forms a beautiful classic combination. When the weather is nice, there is a sliding roof that can be opened for a relaxed driving experience. The 2-cylinder runs and functions nicely. Various documents are available.
