1963 Ferrari 250 GTE 2+2 Series III

*Historically important as Ferrari's first production 2+2
*Sought after Series III LHD
*Over €41,000 in workshop invoices
*Rare appearance 1 of the 954 copies built

- Throughout the 1950s, Ferrari's 250 Series was a fantastic success, both on the track and in the showroom. In the late 1950s, it was decided that Ferrari would develop its first true 4-seater to help broaden the market of potential buyers. The 250 series Ferraris used two types of chassis; a short version (94.5 inches) or the long version (102.4 inches), on which the GTE was built. It used the same Colombo (Tipo 128 F) 3.0 liter V-12 engine as much of the rest of the 250 range. Today, the 250 GTE 2+2 remains an elegant, smooth-running and important piece of Ferrari's automotive heritage.

The Ferrari offered by us has been restored in the past with an eye for detail. It has a very extensive well-documented history, consisting of a file, including workshop invoices (worth more than € 41,000) and a valuation report.

The color combination is also very tasteful, the body is painted in the 'Grigio Scuro'. A very nice combination with the Tobacco leather interior. Also very beautiful is the dashboard with the many beautiful counter instruments and the wooden steering wheel.
The chrome is also beautiful, from the bumpers to the window frames. The rare exterior mirror and the wire wheels complete the picture.

GT was sold new to its first owner on March 15, 1963.
In 2005 this 250 GTE got a Dutch registration. Before this the car was registered in Belgium

The body of this Ferrari is sleek and intact. The doors, sills, fenders, hood and trunk lid have fittings.
The paintwork is in good condition.

- The Ferrari 250 GTE 2+2 is an important vehicle in Ferrari history with a small number of surviving copies.
