ALVIS Speed20 'SC' Charlesworth Saloon

This particular Charlesworth coachwork is considered by most people to be the prettiest saloon body ever fitted the Alvis Speed model chassis and is an original and distinctive example of English coach building at its best. This is a matching numbers example with a substantial history file that goes back to its original factory build sheet and its first owner. The car was subject to a full ground up restoration, backed up with many photographs, in the 1980's and subsequently has covered around 12,000 miles. During this time the car has been continually fettled and improved, this work largely supported by many invoices. In fact the car has just returned from having a clutch overhaul at a well respected Alvis specialist. An enormous file of documentation accompanies the car and is beautifully presented in a bound leather folder. Simply a lovely car and all the better for displaying a little pleasing patina.
