A luxury car enthusiast, he owned a Porsche 904 GTS coupé, which he purchased in 1966. This was his favorite brand, which had won the Targa Florio in 1964 and second place in the Monte Carlo Rally in 1965.

Its example, meticulously restored in its original color, was auctioned by Bonhams in 2022 for a million dollars. It was the first car to feature a lightweight, aerodynamic fiberglass body coupled with a steel chassis.
