JAGUAR E-TYPE SII (1967-1971) 4.2 Fixed Head Coupe

For sale this LHD 1969 Jaguar E Type Series 2, 4.2, fixed head coupe, with a manual gearbox, in the original colour combination of silver body over black interior. Originally manufactured in August 1969, Chassis No: 1R26735 was exported to the British Leyland distributor in New York. The early history of the car is sparse but we do know the car lived for a long part of its life in Dallas, Texas and was used more or less on a daily basis. At some point in its Texan life it underwent a high quality respray which still holds good today.

Our vendor purchased the car in 2017 but unfortunately the E Type has to make way for a vintage project, however whilst in our vendors short ownership he has had various work carried out on the car including: carburettors rebuilt, brake & suspension work, alternator overhauled, European rear lights installed, a full service, new tyres, finally and at great expense the rear axle has been changed for the higher ratio of 2.88:1 for continental touring including recalibration of the speedo unit, totaling £5000 spent.

The car comes with a Jaguar Heritage certificate and whilst the car may need some work to further improve, we feel this is a sound genuine car and is priced accordingly at €62500
