HEALEY Abbot Cabriolet Mille Miglia eligible

Healey Abbott, built in 1953 Sports suspension with large drum brakes, 2.5 liter double camshaft engine, 105 hp, traditionally manufactured aluminum body on an ash wood frame. Only 77 of these cars were built, this is probably the 44th example, one of only 25 known vehicles in the world and certainly one of the best. The car was in a collection for years. It has an ash underconstruction in good condition (very rare) and seems to be without accident. In 2023/24 the electrics, mechanics and braking system were carefully rebuilt. According to the previous owner, the engine had already been overhauled by a Riley specialist. A compression test and a visual inspection of the cylinder liners and show a cood condition. The engine runs with adequate oil pressure and full power. The ignition and carburettor system were overhauled with new parts, and the alternator and fuel pump were replaced. The  tank has been repainted on the outside, cleaned and sealed on the inside. The starter was overhauled, the radiator descaled, all hoses replaced. The body was dismantled, stripped of paint down to the bare metal, repaired where necessary and a new paint job carried out. The interior (leather) and the carpets were completely renewed and the upholstery was refurbished. The top was replaced and the top linkage was overhauled. Bumpers, grill etc. re-chromed, exhaust system in stainless steel. And a lot more. The car has TÜV and German classic car approval, DSMB (German Motorsport Federation) car pass and FIA car pass for participation in motorsport competitions (e.g. Mille Miglia). There is extensive photo documentation of the work carried out.
