The seller offers for sale a 1975 Mercedes-Benz 280 sedan (W114 series), fitted with a 2.8-litre inline six-cylinder petrol engine and automatic transmission. This example was imported from California.
This W114-series 280 is part of the generation often referred to as the “Strich Acht”, known for its robust engineering, smooth drivetrain, and refined ride quality. It includes several luxury options such as air conditioning, power steering, electric windows, and a factory radio. The car is equipped with disc brakes and period-correct trim elements throughout.

The bodywork presents in good condition with no structural rust. Chrome trim, including bumpers, mirrors, and window surrounds, is complete and clean. Panel fit appears uniform.
The interior is well preserved with only minimal signs of wear. The front and rear seats show little usage, and the carpet set is intact and clean. Some components are missing. The dashboard and controls remain original, and all instruments are reported functional. While the air conditioning is complete, it may require servicing.
The car has a valid Dutch inspection and is ready for road use.

The Mercedes-Benz W114/W115 series, introduced in 1968, marked a shift towards modern styling and engineering for Mercedes sedans. Designed by Paul Bracq, the model range featured advanced suspension for its time and was offered with a range of four-, six-, and diesel engines. The 280 was the top petrol model in the W114 lineup, featuring the smooth and powerful M110 engine paired with either manual or automatic transmission. These cars earned a reputation for comfort, reliability, and longevity.
