You’re not just looking at any classic Maserati. This is a 1965 Mistral Spyder 3700, and that alone makes it a standout. But what truly sets this car apart is its original factory configuration: right-hand drive. Only twelve of these were ever built.

This particular Mistral has been professionally converted to left-hand drive with exceptional attention to detail and underwent a full frame-off restoration. The mechanicals were completely overhauled and reassembled to concours-level standards. The result is a Maserati that’s not just stunning to behold but also ready to compete on the world’s most prestigious stages.

*Harnessing the wind: the Mistral*
Named after the powerful northern wind that sweeps through southern France, the Mistral lives up to its name. Fast, commanding and effortlessly elegant. It was the last Maserati to be powered by the brand’s legendary inline-six engine, derived from the celebrated 350S race cars.

In this 3700 version, the engine produces around 255 horsepower from 3,694 cc, paired with a ZF five-speed manual transmission. Even by today’s standards, performance is impressive: 0 to 60 in just over six seconds and a top speed north of 155 mph. Serious numbers for a convertible from the 1960s.

*Designed by Pietro Frua*
The styling comes courtesy of none other than Pietro Frua. Sleek, refined and impeccably proportioned. From its long hood with subtle air intake to its low stance, rounded rear and delicately sculpted lines, this is Italian design at its most expressive.

The body is mostly steel, with the hood, doors and trunk lid crafted in aluminum—just as it should be on a proper sports car of the era. This example has been beautifully restored, with the dashboard, gauges, upholstery and finishes all returned to their original glory, down to the finest detail.

*Fully documented and certified*
Originally delivered in London, this Mistral Spyder comes with full Maserati Classiche certification and complete documentation. It is a car with a clear provenance and a story that holds up to scrutiny.

Out of the 120 Spyders ever built, only twelve were specified with right-hand drive. Of those, just a handful survive in this condition—let alone fully restored, documented, and ready to be driven or displayed.

*An open-top Maserati for the connoisseur*
You don’t stumble into buying a Mistral Spyder. This is a deliberate choice—one made for design, engineering, heritage and timeless elegance. A convertible that offers both poise and presence, built to be admired as much as enjoyed behind the wheel.
