MASERATI BITURBO Si

When De Tomaso took over Maserati in 1976, they wanted to bring on the market an affordable and spacious sportscar. By a using a small engine with two turbo’s, Maserati could deliver a reasonable power against a relatively low price, so that the Maserati Biturbo became a compact car. The Biturbo was produced between 1981 and 1994, but in 1988 the car received a facelift and some mechanical upgrades concerning suspension, power steering and ventilated disc brakes.

‘Collection by Vermant’ is delighted and proud to be able to offer you this magnificent Maserati Biturbo Si. The car is equipped with a 2L V6 engine with two turbo’s, giving it a grand total of 220 HP. This power is sent to the rear wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission. During its life, the car has always been meticulously maintained, resulting in an original and almost new condition. The car was originally delivered in Italy to its first owner on the 8th of September 1987. In 2006 the car then came into the possession of the last owner. Under his ownership the mileage finally started to increase, but he spared no expense to keep the car in excellent condition.

On the exterior, the car is finished in a two-tone paint scheme, dark grey/silver. The exterior is finished off with unmarked diamond cut wheels of which the centers have been finished in the same dark grey that can be found on the body. Not only the top side of the car is immaculate, but also the complete underside of the car which is still in its original finish and remains unmolested, which is extremely rare on Italian cars from the 80’s. Rust is nowhere to be found on this Italian beauty. When continuing to the engine bay, we are greeted by a shiny red intake plenum and red valve covers. The engine compartment is one of the area’s where the unique condition of the car is clearly visible. It looks like a brand-new car.

After opening the door, you are greeted by a masterpiece of Italian flair and finesse. A brown/ orange leather interior welcomes you and makes you feel right at home. Almost every panel in the interior is clad in leather or Alcan Tara. The dashboard inserts are made of wood with a lot of burls in it to give it more character. The interior has been equally well preserved. There are no damages to the seats, carpets, or any shrinkages on the leather.

It is truly a spectacular time capsule back to the 80’s, low mileage, impeccable condition at a friendly price !

During its life the car has had its fair share of maintenance and repairs. The full list of dates and corresponding mileage can be found on our website.
