When Ford Motor Company introduced the Mustang on April 17, 1964, the car was positioned in the compact segment and shared its foundation with the Falcon, yet visually it was something entirely different. A long hood, a short rear end, four seats, and bucket seats up front. Affordable, sporty, and fully customizable. The market reacted immediately. The term pony car would follow later, but the success was there from day one.

For the 1967 model year, the first generation received its first major revision. The body became wider and slightly longer, partly to accommodate larger engines. At the same time, the interior grew as well. More space for passengers, more luggage room, and a more mature presence overall. The proportions remained unmistakably Mustang, but with greater visual authority.

This Mustang is finished in Diamond Blue with a black vinyl interior and bucket seats. Exactly the combination that complements the lines of the car. The A code 289 produces 225 horsepower. In practice, that means a smooth and lively V8 with enough power for relaxed cruising as well as convincing acceleration when you want it. The body is very neat with good panel fit. The paint remains tidy, just like the interior. The carpets are still very nice and the overall impression is well cared for.

By 1967, the Mustang was already firmly established within the Ford lineup. The extreme versions drew attention, but it was cars like this that truly defined the streets. And today, those are precisely the examples that feel the most authentic.
