Did you know that the name Daytona was never actually Ferrari’s official model designation? Yet the entire world knows the Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona by that legendary name. A nickname born after Ferrari’s remarkable 1-2-3 victory at the 1967 24 Hours of Daytona. And honestly, some names are not invented — they emerge because a car becomes larger than its own badge. This Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona is exactly that kind of Ferrari. Equipped with a V12, finished in Rosso Corsa, and presented in an exceptionally authentic condition, this is also an extraordinarily beautiful Daytona.

This 365 GTB/4 was delivered through Charles Pozzi SA in 1972 and registered in 1973. That makes this a wonderful European-delivered example, finished in what may very well be the most iconic Ferrari color of all time: Rosso Corsa. The black leather interior complements it perfectly. And then there is the dashboard: the unmistakable finish and layout that make the Daytona instantly recognizable.

This is a highly original and authentic Daytona. Both the exterior and interior present in remarkably well-preserved overall condition. The paintwork has a beautiful shine and excellent quality, with superb panel fit throughout. The correct wheels are in very neat condition, just like the bumpers. Inside, we find all the proper details and finishes that perfectly suit a car of this caliber.

Of course, a Ferrari Daytona is not just about beauty. Beneath the long hood lies the legendary V12 engine, developed from the iconic Colombo engine architecture. A powerplant that made the Daytona one of the fastest grand tourers in the world at the time. This Ferrari was faster than its great rival, the Lamborghini Miura, and that alone says everything about Ferrari’s ambitions during this era.

On this particular example, both the differential and the engine have been rebuilt. In addition, the maintenance has been carried out by an official Ferrari dealer in France. That fits perfectly with the history of the car: delivered through Charles Pozzi, maintained with the proper care, and today driving exceptionally well.

Where the 275 GTB/4 still featured softer and more sensual lines, Ferrari chose a sharper, more muscular, and more aggressive design for the 365 GTB/4. Yet the classic two-seat berlinetta proportions remained intact. Long hood, compact cabin, broad shoulders — it is a formula that simply never ages. In fact, nearly six decades later, Daytona influences can still be seen in modern Ferraris today.
