It might sound strange, but this is exactly what car enthusiasts mean when they say less is more. The Ferrari 296 GTB is not powered by a V8. No, it is a six-cylinder. A 120-degree V6 paired with a plug, making it a plug-in hybrid with an astonishing 830 horsepower.

But this Ferrari is about more than just numbers. It draws direct inspiration from the iconic Ferrari 246, the legendary Dino—and that is no exaggeration. At Gallery Aaldering, we have several Dinos in our showroom, and the spirit of that car lives on in this modern interpretation: compact, playful, and built purely for driving pleasure. It’s no wonder seasoned enthusiasts already consider the 296 GTB one of the best-handling Ferraris ever made.

Ferrari calls the 296 GTB a revolution, and rightfully so. It is the first Ferrari to combine rear-wheel drive with plug-in hybrid technology. Which means you can cruise silently to the bakery at dawn in full electric mode, and carve up a winding mountain pass with a wide grin on your face that same afternoon. That duality is what makes this Ferrari so compelling.

Mid-mounted, as it should be, is the extraordinary V6. Thanks to the wide V-angle, the turbochargers sit perfectly between the cylinder banks, optimizing both packaging and efficiency. The result? Instant throttle response, sharp handling, and a soundtrack so incredible, it has to be heard in person to be believed.

And that might just be the most remarkable part of this Ferrari: the sound. It echoes the tone of a miniature V12—high-revving, musical, addictive. Even at low RPMs you hear the harmonics beginning to build, and when you push it... goosebumps.

All of that comes together beautifully in our example. Finished in classic Rosso Corsa over Cuoio leather, it’s a timeless Ferrari color combination with modern sophistication. Highlights include:

- XL carbon fiber racing seats
- Premium Hi-Fi sound system
- Full carbon interior package
- Red accents throughout the cabin, including Rosso Ferrari seatbelts
- Reversing camera
- Just 17,000 kilometers, presenting in near-new condition
- Protected by a full PPF treatment to guard the paint against stone chips
- Covered by Ferrari’s 7-year factory maintenance plan until December 24, 2029, meaning all scheduled servicing is taken care of by Ferrari

In short, the 296 GTB is not only a technical milestone, but a tribute to Ferrari’s rich motorsport heritage. At the same time, it is a thoroughly modern icon you could easily drive every day. And you will drive it because this Ferrari handles like no other.

This is a Ferrari that is already becoming a classic in its own time, thanks to its design, engineering, and its modern homage to the legendary 246 GT Dino.
